“Take Care” is one of three new studio improvs by Boston-via-Rochester, NY’s High Sea, a fella named Cameron. WYSIWYG: some mic’d parts of drums, vocals, guitar, a 404, a KP3, and run it all through a loop pedal. A simple melodic progression is the sturdy foundation as circles of floor toms, sticks, and cymbal crashes are constructed. Woozy vocals enter, along with chords that play with tension before giving into release and “Take Care” kind of rides into the sunset from there. It’s probably something fans of Atlas Sound (or maybe Bradford himself) would enjoy, and all the more impressive knowing it was recorded on the fly.
